Vintage Lace votes now that polls are open for all Illinoisans!
Since political rants are spamming your social media screens, we are just going to spin happily ’round here in our red, white, + blue.
If only my political crush would phone me! (I’ve gotten calls to volunteer my energies towards his/her campaigns, so that counts, eh?)
What I am wearing was pretty much found in local thrift stores. For instance, I ripped that poppin’ belt off a tired dress, and snagged that baseball uniform from a garage sale. The accompanying lace is a Free People top that has become a layering staple in colder moments. Their prices can be steep, especially for layering pieces. Reduce, reuse, and recycle by perusing Ebay first, pretty please. Shout out to my LP, Sarah, for sketching on my Chuck Taylors at uni–we wore white Converse before they were cool, i.e. fashion forward friends for life. (I was also obsessed with Ellen DeGeneres, chocolate, + writing then. Some things, they just don’t change.)
I’m so excited to leave my political preference in a ballot box! Get out there and vote, or I don’t want to hear your political feels ever again, hee-hee.
Did your voting excitement inspire your garb today?
